This weekend, well over 100 enthusiastic supporters from every county in the
District, including a few from as far away as Maryland and Indiana, helped Frank
Ryan celebrate the formal announcement of his candidacy for the seat serving
Pennsylvania's 17th Congressional District.

Live music and RJ Harris of WHP Radio 580's RJ Harris in the Morning show
entertained the audience. Following a lively talk on his solutions to the problems facing America, RJ Harris introduced the candidate.

Frank Ryan spoke of the massive debt being accumulated in Washington and its immoral imposition on citizens, including those too young to vote and as yet unborn. Without an immediate course correction by our government, Ryan said, for the first time in our history, future generations will not be able to live as well as or better than their parents, warning that America is not too big to fail.

A Constitutional conservative, Frank Ryan told his audience that the federal
government's role is limited to providing for the common defense and the framework for commerce, and to guarantee the rule of law. The American Constitution will inform and influence his votes in Washington.

Citing his background as an economist and Certified Public Accountant, Ryan
commented on the certain negative consequences of political attempts to control
economic performance, saying that "Governments always overreact and
underperform," that "Governments can never react as quickly as
freemarkets," and that "Free markets will always win." The American economy always performs best when government gets out of the way.

Ryan closed by reviewing the three simple priciples that govern his campaign:

Limit government spending, end deficits and pay off the national debt so all
Americans can anticipate a better, more prosperous future

Emphasize the importance of personal responsibility in our society

Stop government intrusion in the lives of all Americans
